2009-2010 Go Red For Women Casting Call

For every heart, there is a story- and we want to hear yours! St. Rose Hospital has been invited to host the American Heart Association’s Bay Area Casting Call in search of a regional spokesperson for the 2009-2010 Go Red for Women campaign.

If you want to make a difference and become a voice that inspires health and hope, here is your chance. On Wednesday October 7th, St. Rose Hospital will host a casting call under the Grand White Tent from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to hear women’s stories on how they’ve turned personal choices into life-saving actions. We are looking for heart disease survivors, family members, friends and professionals with unique and compelling stories that speak to human courage and miracles.  Women who share their stories will have the chance to become a national spokeswomen –– representing the cause on GoRedForWomen.org, in media appearances, advertising, billboards, at events and possibly in a nationally televised special on women and heart disease, airing on television in the fall of 2009.

This opportunity has been made possible in part due to St. Rose Hospital’s long-standing support of the Go Red for Women initiative, through the annual Power of Red campaign at the hospital. This campaign was implemented in an effort to raise awareness of the No. 1 killer of women and inform them of the importance of heart health. St. Rose Hospital has been a recipient of national marketing healthcare awards since its inception for best practice in educating and informing women about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

Don’t miss out on this extraordinary opportunity to share your story and encourage women across the nation to take action against heart disease! To request an appointment for your taping, call 415-433-2273 or email Jill at Jill.Diaforli@heart.org. Please include a brief description of your heart story as well as a photo.
