The Power of Red

Cardiovascular Disease claims the lives of almost 500,000 women each year and is the # 1 killer of women.

For the seventh year, prominent women in and out of our community have joined St. Rose Hospital to become our Champions for Women's Heart Health. Designed to promote awareness of heart disease among women, the Power of RED campaign has been tremendously successful in educating women on preventing heart disease and leading longer and stronger lives.

This year's shoot in coordination with the Hayward Fire Station #1 demonstrates the importance of connecting our first responders to hospital care- most importantly in treating heart-related emergencies. This initiative compliments St. Rose Hospital’s designation as a Cardiac Receiving Center for Alameda County. With one of the lowest 'door to balloon' time in the County, St. Rose Hospital Cardiology Department continues to garner great recognition for excellent cardiac care.

The Power of Red Campaign was launched in 2005 and since its inception, St. Rose has been a recipient of National Marketing Healthcare Awards for best practice in educating and informing women about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

To learn more, please join us on Saturday, March 20th from 11:30am- 1:00pm for a free lecture and lunch, which will be provided by our Cardiology Team discussing women's heart health. Please call 510-264-4044 to register.
